Your questions, our advice

Which size should I choose?

All our hoop earrings are suitable for healed lobe piercings. For a balanced ear stack, we suggest wearing the largest diameter in your first piercing, then smaller hoops in your second and third piercings.

What is the difference between a hoop earring and a piercing ring?

A hoop earring is generally worn in the lobe and has a thinner post, often 0.8 to 1 mm thick.

A piercing ring is generally 1.2 mm thick. The difference may seem small, but you may notice it depending on the thickness of your piercing and how long you have had it.

Can I add a charm to my hoop earrings?

Only if the charm's attachment and the hoop's thickness are compatible. Also check that the charm allows the fastening to work and does not make the earring too heavy. The dimensions of both pieces matter as much as their style.

Are hoop earrings sold in pairs?

Choose piercing jewellery individually to build your ear stack freely. For earrings, check the product page to see whether the design is sold individually or as a pair.

Why is titanium a better choice for sensitive ears?

Our titanium is hypoallergenic and contains no nickel, making it a suitable choice for sensitive ears.

Can I sleep in my hoop earrings?

Yes, in a healed lobe piercing and if the jewellery remains comfortable. At night, choose a slim, minimalist hoop that fits well and causes no pressure or discomfort. Remove bulky designs or those likely to catch.

Any tips for creating a beautiful ear stack?

Start with a bolder piece in your first piercing, then choose more delicate jewellery for the next ones. You can also play with lengths, for example a hoop, a chain in the middle, then a small stud.

Finally, echo shapes, stones or details across your jewellery to keep your ear stack harmonious.

I only have one lobe piercing. How can I create an ear stack?

Choose a piece that adds volume, such as the large Soline hoop, then complete the look with our non-piercing jewellery. An ear cuff at the conch adds a point of light in the middle of your ear without another piercing.

Why choose titanium rather than 925 silver or stainless steel?

Hypoallergenic and nickel-free, our titanium is laboratory-tested. It is resistant to the darkening associated with 925 silver, resistant to rust and highly resistant to tarnishing. It is designed to retain its shine over time with everyday wear, including showering or exercising, when worn in healed piercings. After swimming in the sea, rinse your jewellery with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.

Can I shower or exercise wearing your jewellery?

Yes, for healed piercings. Our titanium jewellery is resistant to rust and highly resistant to tarnishing. Its EverGold coating is designed to help preserve its shine and colour over time with everyday wear.

After showering or exercising, rinse your jewellery if necessary and dry it thoroughly. For activities where jewellery could snag or be pulled, choose a suitable jewellery arrangement.

How should I care for my earrings?

After removing your jewellery, clean it with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, rinse, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive products and cosmetics.

Hoop earrings that set the tone

A hoop can be the starting point for your entire ear stack. A small diameter creates a line close to the lobe; a larger design leaves more room for movement. Look at its thickness too: at the same diameter, a delicate curve and a fuller one have a different presence.

Find the right balance across several piercings

Let your hoop take centre stage in your first piercing. In the following piercings, gradually reduce the size of the pieces or keep a single echo of colour. Two different ear stacks can complement each other through a shared finish, without using exactly the same jewellery.

A combination to try, then make your own

Look at how your hoop hangs from the front and side. A dangling detail draws the eye downwards, while a simple line highlights the other pieces. In the Solstice Ear Stack Builder, compare your ideas before choosing the pieces and their dimensions.
